Magnetic car & van signs in Chippenham

Your car does the school run on Saturday and the job on Monday. Magnetic signs put your business on the doors when you’re working and come off in seconds when you’re not.

Branding that comes off when you want it to

We print your logo, services and phone number in full colour onto vehicle-grade magnetic sheet, laminate it against weather and scuffs, and round the corners so it sits flat and doesn’t lift at speed. They suit sole traders using a personal car, mobile hairdressers and dog groomers, carers and home-help services, driving instructors, estate agents, delivery drivers and anyone who wants their branding gone for the weekend or for the sale of the car.

Will it stick to my vehicle?

Magnets need a flat, steel panel. Many car and van doors are steel, but some panels are aluminium, plastic or fibreglass, and deep swage lines and curves stop a magnet sitting flat. Tell us the make and model, or hold a fridge magnet against the door, and we’ll size the sign to the flattest area of the panel. If magnets won’t work, we’ll suggest removable vinyl lettering instead.

Looking after magnetic signs

Take them off every week or so, wipe the back and the panel and let both dry before refitting, so moisture and grit can’t get trapped under them. Remove them before a car wash, store them flat, and don’t leave the same spot covered for months on fresh paint. Look after them and a set will last for years.

What affects the price

Every job is quoted individually. These are the things that make the difference:

  • The size of each sign, sized to the flat steel area of your door
  • How many: one pair or a set for doors, tailgate and bonnet
  • Printed full colour or simple lettering
  • Laminate and rounded corners (we include them as standard)
  • How much design work is needed

FAQ

Magnetic Vehicle Signs: common questions

Will a magnetic sign fly off on the motorway?

A full-strength vehicle magnet on a clean, flat steel panel stays put at normal road speeds. Problems come from fitting over curves, swage lines, dirt or water, so fit it flat on a clean, dry panel and check it before long journeys.

Do magnetic signs damage paintwork?

Not if they are taken off and cleaned regularly. Leaving one on for months can trap moisture and leave a faint outline as the paint around it fades, so lift and wipe them every week or so.

Can you make magnetic signs for my aluminium van?

No. Magnets only stick to steel. For aluminium, plastic or fibreglass panels we’d fit removable vinyl lettering instead.

How much does magnetic Vehicle Signs cost?

Every job is quoted individually, because the price depends on the size of each sign, sized to the flat steel area of your door; how many: one pair or a set for doors, tailgate and bonnet; printed full colour or simple lettering; laminate and rounded corners (we include them as standard).
