Boat names, caravan decals & campervan graphics

A boat isn’t finished until it has its name on it. We cut lettering for narrowboats, cruisers and dinghies, and graphics for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and horseboxes.

Boat names and narrowboat lettering

The Kennet & Avon Canal runs through Devizes, Bradford-on-Avon and Bath, a short drive from our Chippenham workshop, so narrowboat lettering is close to our hearts. We cut names, home ports and registration (index) numbers in marine-grade vinyl, from traditional shaded canal-style lettering to clean modern fonts. We also do printed panels, roses-and-castles style motifs and transom names for cruisers, RIBs and dinghies. We check lettering sizes against your navigation authority’s display rules before cutting.

Caravans, motorhomes and campervans

Caravan and motorhome stripes fade and crack long before the van wears out. We redraw replacement stripes and swirls from photos and measurements, cut van names and hitch-side graphics, and design full graphics packages for campervan conversions. That includes bold side graphics for VW-style and Transit conversions, rear ladder and spare-wheel cover prints, and the vehicle’s name on the bonnet.

Made for water, sun and road salt

We use long-life cast vinyls with laminates where they are needed, because boats and caravans live outside year-round. You can bring the boat, van or trailer to us, or we can come to your mooring, marina, storage yard or driveway (free within 10 miles, then the usual mileage).

What affects the price

Every job is quoted individually. These are the things that make the difference:

  • What it is: a boat name, narrowboat side panels, caravan stripes or a campervan package
  • How big the lettering or graphics are, and how many sides
  • Cut vinyl lettering, printed graphics or shaded canal-style lettering
  • Redrawing old graphics from photos and measurements
  • Removing old, cracked vinyl first
  • Fitting at your mooring or storage yard (travel) or at our workshop

Send us photos, sizes and quantities and we’ll give you a free, fixed quote.

FAQ

Boat, Caravan & Motorhome Graphics: common questions

Can you fit lettering to my narrowboat on the canal?

Yes, if the weather and mooring allow it. Vinyl needs a clean, dry hull at a reasonable temperature, so we plan fitting days around the forecast.

Can you copy the faded stripes on my caravan?

Usually, yes. Send clear photos of each side with measurements, or let us measure it, and we’ll redraw the graphics and cut a replacement set.

Is vinyl lettering suitable for a boat?

Yes. We use marine-suitable cast vinyl that copes with water, sun and cleaning, and it can be removed when the boat is renamed or repainted.

How much does boat, Caravan & Motorhome Graphics cost?

Every job is quoted individually, because the price depends on what it is: a boat name, narrowboat side panels, caravan stripes or a campervan package; how big the lettering or graphics are, and how many sides; cut vinyl lettering, printed graphics or shaded canal-style lettering; redrawing old graphics from photos and measurements. Send us the details and we’ll give you a free quote.
